    Antoinette d’Ansembourg is sensitive to the modification of nature, of beings and things – their transgenic qualities. In an abandoned house in the centre of Kortrijk, set to be demolished, an intimate laboratory blossomed during her residency. Unsettling mutations were forged, stemming from improbable combinations of living things and detritus. The organisms invading the space were born of the playful confrontation between her imagination and 1.5 tonnes of raw clay, excavated from the Oostrozebeke clay pit near Kortrijk.
